These Strange Items Are Banned All Over The World. I Had NO Idea.

If you have any plans to travel abroad, you should know that certain countries have the strangest things banned. (And if you happen to be Brad Pitt, don't bother traveling at all.) While these nations probably have their reasons for banning the things in the list below, some of them are really hard to understand as an outsider.
Creating laws to ban unsafe items and violent behavior in order to protect people makes sense. It's hard to understand why some countries would even bother drafting legislation to ban some of the others...

The Bible (both torah and Christian) don't outright ban charging interest, in fact, in one of the parables (parable of the talents) the person who is given one talent of gold is told that he should have at least put it with a moneylender to earn interest instead of burying it in the ground.

While it isn't a monetary parable (Christ is referring to using gifts from god appropriately) I doubt he would have used a banned example in one of his parables.

China has banned reincarnation in response to the Dalai Lama (sp), who is traditionally a reincarnation of the original.

What's funny is that Wikipedia had to ban the Mormon church and our Congress because they were falsifying entries. Hilarious.

All the more reason to separate Church and State.

Wikipedia has nothing to do with the government, what does that have to do with it!

And I know Wikipedia banned the Church of Scientology's IP addresses, but did not know they banned the Mormoms.
