Remembering SAMMY

SAMMY - Est. Jan 1993 - Aug 29, 2014
Sammy was COTD Feb, 10, 2007 (actually 2 years after he was submitted)- he was AT LEAST 21-1/2 that we know of. He passed quietly in his sleep, next to me in bed; he'd been mostly comatose since last night, when he drifted off to a deep sleep- I think he just shut down. But up til midday yesterday, he was SAMMY- he'd tap me with a shovel-paw so I'd let him run up my front to my shoulder where he'd sit and purr; he'd drink out of the sink tap; he'd hammer other cats if they tried to take his food- he was a wonderful, smart, sweet, entertaining, loyal old guy....
Gonna miss him- a LOT.....but thank God we had 14+ years of joy with him!

Play hard at the bridge, Sammy- young and healthy all over again... see you again one day-- we REALLY loved you!!

What a great Veteran Cat you are Sammy, and the fact that you reached such a Mature Age is quite good evidence of what a good home you had and the great love and regard with which you were held.
It is going to be hard as your family will miss you after these years , and we know that as an Awesome Eternal Angel Companion you will drop by your home to reassure your friends that you are all right.
And that you will all meet again in love in Paradise.

Dearest Sammy, rest in peace, after a long, beautiful life, more than 21 1/2 years full of love and good care. And how good that you drifted off in your sleep next to your dear human in bed. Now you are a beautiful, glorious Angel at the Rainbow Bridge, whole and healthy again and ready to welcome your dear Purrrsons Home.. One Fine Day.

My RB Mac, another senior kitizen, went the same way, curled up next to me o the bed. I know when you've had a cat for many years, it just kills you when they go. SAMMY, you will still live on in your hooman's hearts and they will love you forever!
