    Recommendations for peeing-deterrent

Hello folks, what would you recommend to spray or otherwise apply to a carpet place where a cat has peed.. I've already soaked them with Nature's Miracle to (hopefully) remove the essence of the pee that was there.

Now I want to know how to deal with those areas so that the cat won't come back to re-use it.

Thanks very much. I still have things to learn here, I'm afraid.

CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

To me- Nature's Miracle isn't worth the money.

I only use OdorXit. I follow the directions exactly on the bottle. You used to be only able to get OdorXit online. I belive you can now get it at some hardware stores and some carpet stores.

Did the pee soak through to the pad underneath, if there is one? Can you smell anything there?

Yes, it soaked through, and that's the problem. It needs to be completely replaced.

And it will be now: see the update (post 25) in the Scary news thread in Cat General. I have a huge load of stuff to do so they can do all this.. and get it done before I go for my surgery Sept. 15!

At least it is a good time of year to get rid of stuff - before surgery, with students needing stuff, etc!
