    Pizza and beer Thursday #599!

I'm going to fire up the pizza oven and open up the porch so we can sit out, eat, drink and be merry.

i have had a bug all week, so I'll start the thread out with a simple thin crust, with mozzarella, basil and sauce.

The ORC has his apron on an ready to toss some crusts.

Beer is in the tub, getting cold.

We have some fresh squeezed lemonade too!

    Dine!

LOL, I tried to type 'done' and it came out DINE!

Could I get a hot chocolate with my pizza? Very cool here today with rain off and on. Feels like fall has arrived. . They've even tossed the idea of snow for the mountains. Too soon for such talk!!!

Aww, my newest favorite pizza to make myself - will have one in a bit, is a "white" pizza - a teeny bit of alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce -- the thinly sliced shallot, asparagus, mozzarella and prosciutto - yummy! Anyone want some?

A recent bad idea was throwing some sundried tomatoes on top of a pizza - not the kind packed in oil, just the pain sundered tomato pieced. When I took the pizza out of the oven, I picked the charcoal pieces off, and threw them away - they just pretty much instantly turned to carbon. Next time I'll have to put some under the cheese layer, instead of on top.

In that odd time of year here - but traffic was miserable today, as some of the annual Labor Day weekend influx of college students has reportedly already begun, and temps are a bit cooler.

Good for pickling and canning without feeling like you will melt, but ... I have no dirt to grow anything to can! Just inbred memories of seasonal activities, I guess!

A friend was annoyed slugs were eating her tomatoes, so she's making friend green tomatoes tonight with some that she picked to thwart them! If I talk her into sharing, anyone want some?

She now knows the secret - dish of beer and the slugs will go to the instead, but these were picked already!

And a pizza with real tomato slices and basil and mozzarella, please? Thanks!

Halloween???? Sam's is doing one better - they have Christmas decorations and supplies out already. So ridiculous and such money grubbers that they feel they have to beat all the other retailers to the punch. Next, they'll just be leaving them out year round.

That said - I'll partake of a big slice of pizza - fully loaded - if there's any left. Pepsi or lemonade to wash it down would be nice too. Thanks!!!!!

Pom, our Costco had Christmas stuff out in July! So sad.

Still chilly here. Could I get a hot tea please?

I heard on the radio the other day that there is a hill of snow somewhere in Manitoba (I forget just where). Seems it's where all the snow was dumped after it was plowed from the roads, and the weather never got warm enough to thaw it all!

Yes, I saw that on the news. Apparently we have a pile here in Calgary too.

That's silly. Everyone knows the never-ending snow pile is in northern Wisconsin...

I'll have a slice of the Marguerida pizza. One of my favorites!

Well, it's going to be 90 F here tomorrow. I was at a party a couple of weeks ago where I had frozen mojitos with the mint ground right in. Green slushy yumminess. I'll make some booze in the blender for any who want it...
