A visit to Café Miao - with pictures

I had arranged a meet-up yesterday at Cafe Miao... yes, that’s the name of it, because the name of the Chinese woman who own the Café is Miao. How appropiate!
    http://cafemiao.dk/omtale-2/

They have been open only for a few weeks and have four cats there, so far. Two more will come next week. All very sweet and friendly cats, as the staff. One girl who works there is Australian, she had beegged to get a job there. I’m thinking of applying myself - I could bake some cakes, or help with menu and business cards (they need a better one, in my opinion).

We had a good time and said hello to a few of the cats, one was sleeping on a shelf above our table the whole time.

    Here are some pictures...

    ... more coming

Oh, wonderful, both report and photos! And it will be especially wonderful when you go to work there, Randi!

Hee hee - what a fun idea for a business, I hope it does well enough to inspire "copycat" (pun intended) cafés in cities worldwide!

Hi Randi! Could you give us the directions to get there? What a marvelous place!!! Not too long ago there was a story on our local news about a kitty koffee house but I don't remember where they said it is. It would be the purrfect setting for a PT purrents party.

Amigo saw this and is now on his cell phone with Pinot to see about arranging a Catmobile trip to Cafe Miao to meet their resident kitties. They are beautiful and your pictures are super, thank you so very much for sharing this with us

Dear Pinot and Amigo, I'm sure a lot of PT kitties love your idea and will start packing their gear right away. Café Miao is situated just a few steps from the Town Hall Square, so very easy to get to. Opposite the building is "Toilette and Duche"... sorry, I mean "Deloitte".

There are space for at least 50 cats and everyone is allowed on the tables. On the walls there are built-in steps, so they can get their exercise and keep in shape. They also have a retreat room through a catflap, in case some need a rest.

The resident cats are looking forward to meet you all!

Apparently, there are quite a few cat cafées around the world and that's great, because some of them take in cats who owners no longer are able to keep. Also, customers may fall in love with one and realize they need a cat in their own home and go adopt one. As we all know, shelters are full to the brim in most places.
