    Avon makes a cracked heel relief cream that works great on insect bites because it has a topical anesthetic (lidocaine). I have a tube on hand year round- in winter I use it on itchy dry skin and in summer/fall on bites.

    I am using Citronella Oil, It is natural way much better that Deet.
