    Very grainy, so it is hard to tell ... doggie fur or carpet fibers?

    No and No. I agree that better focus would be helpful but I don't have a clearer one. I'll give you another clue. I took the picture on my tv & had to use sunglasses in front of camera lens to stop the glare of the tv picture.
