One of my favorite dog writers needs some help.

Janine Kahn writes doggy-related articles, usually featuring her lovely Italian Greyhound, Mr. Moxie. Recently she wrote about breaking up with the man in her life, wondering who should have custody of Mr. Moxie and worrying about being able to take care of him once her rent doubled. (A studio apartment in San Francisco can run $1600 a month pretty easily, so I do NOT envy her that, even if the city is beautiful)

A couple of weeks ago, Moxie fell out of a third-story window. The full story is here:

...The pictures are all of Mox recovering, and her writing really paints the way she felt as it was all happening...it was hard for me to read through tears. The bill was over $8,000.
