This Zoo Is At It Again

Now chose to kill two adult Lions & 2 cubs in order to bring in a new adult male Lion with different genes. I've read this policy decision is in line with all other Zoos in Europe.

A petition about this is at the top of this list: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/ They are just a 235 signatures short of 86,000 and have sent 66,000 signatures to the relevant person.

When I first heard about Marius and how that whole situation was handled, I was livid. A healthy baby giraffe killed for no valid reason? Signed a petition about that. Then yesterday I heard about the lions and had pretty much the same reaction. Signed a petition on that one too. These beautiful animals belong in the wild, living free as nature intended and not locked up in cages for entertainment and amusement. With so many species on the verge of extinction, it's way past time for humans to understand that we share this earth with animals and there's so much we can learn from them.
