    Removal of Spleen

For the past year, Fenway has had several ultrasounds (for pancreatitis). They found a lesion on his spleen and in last weeks ultrasound it appears the lesion has gotten bigger. The vet has recommended the removal of his spleen. I am getting a second opinion this week from another vet.

Has anyone on this forum had their dogs spleen removed? What was the outcome? Would you do it again?

    Thank you for your answers.
I love Fenway, JoJo, Olivia and Nonnie!

I have a friend who had hers removed 2 years ago. But never known about a dog having a spleen removed.

Glad to read you are getting a second opinion. Sorry you and Fenway are dealing with this. Prayers from RI.
