I'm asking for special prayers for my sister's cat Pearl who is 12 yrs old and recently very quickly dropped 5 lbs....the vet did blood work, she's anemic, the vet wants to check her urine and then after that do an ultrasound...she also wants to get her set up with a specialist who can do a bone marrow.....Pearl won't eat except a few bites of food and throws it up and then she drinks like crazy...and throws up her water....my sister works long hours she's a PA so it's hard for her to get off when people are sick and need to see her to get better but yet she's really never had to go through putting an animal to sleep and I've gone through too many, it's never easy....she wants Pearl to be comfortable and doesn't want to put her through too much and I understand that. She is going to the vets Thursday evening to get a urine tested hopefully. I'm just going to cross my fingers that Pearl has enough urine to give and maybe get an ultrasound but it doesn't sound good. The vet said she isn't saying it's cancer but I have a feeling it might be and if it is...it maybe too late. Pearl is such a sweet girl and loves to howl at the walls sometimes. Please think positive thoughts for Pearl....my sister has never had to put down an animal before...all of you know I have and we all know how hard it is. I'm hoping isn't Pearly Davis's time yet.
