Early photos of animals in human situations

American photographer Harry Whittier Frees created novelty postcards and children's books based on his photographs of animals. This collection from 1914 are of animals dressed and posed them in human situations with props. Frees may have actually been one of the pioneers of the 'LOLcat’ phenomenon.

I remember when they used to sell these cards , I wish I still had the ones that I had as a lad.
