Some of you may have followed the story of Gabriella Miller. When she was told her brain tumour was the size of a walnut, she started the Smashing Walnuts foundation. She smashed walnuts with many people, well-know and unknown, as a way to visualize smashing her tumour.

Gabriella died about a month ago, age 10, a year after her diagnosis. Her mother and other people have called attention to the low funds allocated to pediatric cancer research, and the bill mentioned in the subject line here aims to change that. Please have a look, as they are looking for a few more co-sponsors.

Here is one of many news stories about her: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/...dbc_story.html
