Rose and My Story Featured on Petfinder Today

It's still on front page but here's the link: http://www.petfinder.com/?p=30976
I had originally thanked them for the website on Facebook. Without it, I probably never have seen her since she was hours away from me. A woman that does blogs there contacted me and asked if she could write about our story. It's also going to be in some small newspapers later. I'm quite honored about this. Rose is such an awesome dog. Her personality is really starting to come out and she's so happy. I'm so glad we found each other. Couldn't have gotten a better match if I tried.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Aww, and it doesn't even mention your love of flowers, and so a sweetie named Rose was also perfect for you! You should nominate her for Dog of the Day sometime!

What a lovely dog, and what a lovely story! Congratulations to you both, and welcome HOME, Diamond Rose!

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Great story Val. Lets hope it helps others to re-think their ideas about Pets with special needs. Even small ones.
