    Beautiful! Thank you, Kirsten.

    Death thought about it.

So beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing !!! That was what I've been missing: the colors of fall. Our leaves are just beginning to change.

I feel autumn is very beautiful this year- the leaves are more colorful. I love the red Japanese maple ones. Sunday I walked along Isar river outside of Munich- there were maples with golden leaves and it was just beautiful

    Two leaves hang
    Like sisters awaiting their fate
    Near the end of days
They started life the same, but one
    Lived harder, developed rough edges
    Twisted on its stem, got
Scars, and a ruffled edge of a party dress
    The other lived simply, only
Signs of age showing, but still
Both beautiful in her own way
Together await the finally falling away
    That is autumn

Thank you for taking the time to look at my pictures.

Karen, this is such a beautiful poem, very touching, almost sad as you describe the essence of fall. Thank you!

Yesterday was a beautiful fall day, warm and sunny. A photographer pal and I went taking pictures and this is what I brought home:

These are a little processed in Photoshop, it's something that's called Orton effect.

And here's a little mushroom magic!

These are beautiful, Kirsten! Just breathtaking! I hope that some day Kirsten is going to have a book of her amazing photography and I will own a copy of it

Autumn is my favorite season, I just love looking at the changing of colors and your pictures captured that.

    A tree-lined lane in autumn
Not so perfect as to be cliché
    Some leaves still green,
Summer still lingering in their branches
But most are fully autumn bound
Beginning their annual riot of color
Of butter and pumpkin, umber and gold
The quiet rustling jubilation of sugar and sun

The empty road beaconing travelers on
Toward distant feasts of harvest bounty
    Still baking, steaming and underway
Kitchens workers dusted with flour and spice
The promising scents of leaf dust, decay and far off cinnamon
Linger in the mind, a whisper of
Laughter and fireside on the breeze
    I've Been Frosted
