    Autumn 12/3/99-10/3/13

Sorry I haven't posted this sooner, its just so hard to write. I had to have Autumn put down over a week ago. The vet thought she had a tumor called a hemangiosarcoma and was bleeding out. There really was no testing or treatment to be done because she was in such a bad way that I knew it was time. She'd had almost a year of chronic colitis that we treated symptomatically because I wasn't going to put her through a whole lot of testing at over 13 years old, it would have just been too much for her. I guess I've kinda been in shock the last week or so. She was my constant shadow.

Oh dear, our deepest condolences. She is no longer suffering, but we know you must miss her very much. Think of her happy and whole, as she now is up at the Rainbow Bridge, and you'll be in our prayers!

I actually have some pictures of her a couple years ago crossing the rainbow bridge at the dog park. I can't find my favorite one on photobucket that I have at the end of my real life scrapbook album of her for some reason. It's of her sitting and looking back as if she's waiting for me. I don't remember her being as overweight as her pictures since she's been losing weight like crazy for the last year when her colitis started.

I just now saw this, I'm so sorry for your loss. Its hard watching our kid's health deteriorate, but the fact that we stay with them and do everything we can is kind of like payback for the many years they never left our side.

    Rest easy, pretty girl.
