My niece called me this morning, with the sad news that her shaded silver Persian passed away. He was up there in years and his health had been failing for a while now. He was a beautiful cat, but very elusive around people that he didn't know. Whenever I would visit I would try to win him over, but he wanted no parts of me. He would let me get within a few feet of him, and then he would take off. The only way I was able to get a picture of him, was at a distance. I did get to hold him once - when Linda picked him up and put him in my lap. He tolerated that maneuver, but wasn't at all thrilled! I was hoping to win him over when I got moved down there, but time just ran out.
RIP pretty Smokie. I'm sure that Brindle was waiting for you as you crossed over The Bridge. Rest well dear boy ~~~~~ I only wish that I had been able to know you better.
