Catgratulations, Pirate Benny on being our Cat of the Day today, Sunday, September 29th 2013! You are a dashing specimen of kitty and we're totally enthralled with you.

Our kitties, Felix the Maine Coon, Rascal the kitty you look so much like, Raven, the black kitten born on my hand, and two other boys who we have been feeding. Boy No. 1 is Puss~n~Boots who now sleeps with my husband, the kitty Paw-Paw and Oreo who when outside the first night I spotted him looked like a white kitty with black spots. Hence his name, Oreo.

Nothing is better than a loving Kitty in one's life.

Our darling Felines are all rescued cats. Felix from our Veterinarian, Rascal, Raven (rescued his momma, Ivory), Puss~n~Boots and Oreo who, like Rascal and Ivory (mother of Raven and Licorice) were kitties who were just "put outside" when their humans moved. Can you believe people abandon their pets???

You have a wonderful day today and may your humans fête you in style! As Mr Spock on Star Trek would say:

Avast, me hearties! It's our Pirate Benny, mrr ..arrrrrgh!

Dearest Seeräuberbenny, what a wonderful Cat of the Day you are! How good it is that you were rescued from the harsh life of a stray by those great Shelter people and brought to safety and warmth and love. Then, even better, your great Purrrents visited the shelter to find a new companion for their Elmer Elevator to ease his grief at the loss of his and their beloved Wanda.. and they brought you home! ..and you and Elmer bonded right away to become Cat Pals. What a delightful, love-filled Purrrfect Purrrmanent home you all share!

Then you developed toxoplasmosis and had to lose your left eye, but your fine veterinary ophthalmologist got all the infection out completely so you were Restored To Perfect Health. That's a great photo of you for your doctor's Gallery of Successful Patients! And you look so majestic in the pictures of you on your cat tree.

Oh, most handsome Seeräuberbenny! You serve as your dad's valet each morning Then you are a busy thinking, planning hunter, bringing back gifts for your people. Before bedtime you enjoy a round of the Benny Bump game with your people, and some happy purring. Then it is time to sleep in the rocking chair. What a busy kitty you are!

I think you are a very handsome, beautiful grey tabby with your wonderful markings and your touches of white! Could you please have your people give you some very gentle petting for me, and a big hug or two (or 50). Toxoplasmosis of your eye must have been very worrisome, and I'm glad you have a wonderful veterinary ophthalmologist and are Restored to Perfect Health! Happy Cat of the Day to you, precious Benny!

p.s., I'm mostly "one-eyed" too due to amblyopia. Who needs binocular vision?

Ahoy Pirate Benny! Happy Cat of the Day to you, matey! What a sweet, warm, funny, touching, uplifting, love filled tribute to his best boy your proud Daddy has shared with us today! I was but a few sentences into your bio., poring over your precious pics, before my heart went into total meltdown mode! Great thanks to your family for rescuing you from your hard diving dumpster life on the streets, Benny, providing you with the most loving and devoted of forever homes, AND the finest veterinary care available! I do, however, have to disagree with your Dad on one point. You couldn't look more fetching, more dashing in your "Success" photo...heart melting...and how proud your vaunted surgeon must be to be able to include you in his "Gallery of Successful Patients! But on this your Daddy and I do agree. Who needs two eyes when you're as handsome, personality packed, cunning, stealth, talented, charming and loved as you! How blessed your parents and furry bro Elmer are, having a furkid, a best buddy, a loving companion, and yes, a valet, in you!
