Ellie, I'd say you are smitten! He is such a stunning boy (I think I said that already). I too was thinking Papillon when you described him. I can answer a few things for you:

Always take a bag of yummy treats with you on vet visits, let the vet and techs give some when they finish with him. Bits of cheese or bits of hot dog, small of course, so they can give 2 or 3 each.

When dogs move to a new home, they go in to a sort of shock for 2 to 3 weeks before they settle in. So this is why you are seeing that initially he had to keep you in sight but with time he is OK to be in a different room from you. Quite normal. My newbie Tony followed me to the bathroom at my 3 AM trip for 3 weeks before he decided it was OK to remain comfy in bed.

Once he knows where that dead mouse is, he will go back there over and over until it is removed. Unlike we HuMoms who work to FORGET where the darn this is! Oh wait you already knew this, ha haaa.

Today it was a dead frog out on the far side of the garage. I wish I had his sense of smell.

Can't wait for the Pom Party once I get settled. I haven't seen Kay post in any of Wolfy's threads, so I don't think she even knows about him yet.

Hi, I'm here. I've been having some back/leg pain (pinched nerve) and sitting in chair at computer doesn't help so I haven't been on it very much. I totally missed Mr. Wolfy until today. Thanks Ellie for the heads up.

OH MY GOODNESS! I just read all threads about Wolfy . Have you got a new friend or what?! He is adorable!! He even reminds me of a wolf with his color (not a fox) so I think his name suits him perfectly. I'm glad you got a new doggy. I remember I got LilGirl a few months after Honey died because I missed having a dog so much. Your little RB pets know you still love them and you have room for Wolfy in your heart also.

Your description of him and his behavior makes him sound so cute, smart, and sweet. He sure lucked out when you adopted him. I was wondering... why don't you buy him some new things?? I'm laughing because you have.

Have fun with Wolfy; I'm happy for you both.. ... Kay

Wolfy is doing good. He is accumulating some tales to tell y'all, but I'll let him create a few more before he tells you. Can you say "drama king"??? - not as bad as the former "queen" - but drama all the same.

    Thanks for asking about him.

Can't wait for the drama, love reading all the cute things .At least he shares his found treasures with you, what a sweet boy
You should start a little diary with all his stories, that way you can go back and remember every little drama he created just for you
