PETA Under Fire From ‘No Kill’ Groups

    In today's New York Times:

"PETA, considered by many to be the highest-profile animal rights group in the country, kills an average of about 2,000 dogs and cats each year at its animal shelter here.

"And the shelter does few adoptions — 19 cats and dogs in 2012 and 24 in 2011, according to state records."

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I have known for a while the horror that PETA is. The general public IS becoming more aware, and I can only hope it will force PETA to change its ways. No doubt about it, PETA has done a lot for the animal welfare movement, but the no-kill movement simply slips by them.
