Happy Independence Day to all our American friends! (and everyone else.)

Happy 4th everybody - and stay away from the fifth! Yeah - I know - I say that every year. If you must celebrate by hitting the fifth - then please don't drive!

And thank you, SAS, for the cautionary notes about the effects of firecracker noise and disruption and other "celebrations" on our beloved pets and the other animals out there. I hope the word gets out at least some, hopefully more each year. God bless.

My kitty Sparkler got that name because she was born close to the 4th of July!

    HAPPY 4th EVERYONE!!!

I can't wait for the noisy fireworks to stop. Some one who lives very close by has been setting off noisy fireworks since last Friday night. Some of them sound like pipe bombs because they are so loud. This morning at 2am a loud boom noise woke me up. Yes, it was another firework. It's been so hot here that I keep all of the windows and my sliding glass door open through out the night because I don't have AC. I'm sure tonight is going to be a very noisy night.
