    Seamus

Prayers needed for my sister's dog, Seamus. He was feeling poorly and a trip to the vet discovered he's in liver failure. Unsure yet of the cause.

    I saw this on FB.

Is he on denamarin? If so, you can help the liver detox using milk thistle. Here is a link:
    http://www.leavesandroots.com/

    Buy this one:
Milk Thistle Seed CO pow 16oz Silybum marianum $20.00

Give 2 tablespoons w/ his food daily. Will see improvement in 2 weeks. Let us know!

According to my sister he's on a liver supplement and then they'll have his blood re-tested. She's in 'shock' mode as she doesn't really want to talk or think about it because she's not ready to make the hard decisions until they are absolutely necessary. I mentioned the milk thistle.

Seamus has my prayers for better news from the Vet on recheck time. He looks like a great pup and I
hope he gets better & spends many more great years with the family.

Do you know what liver supplement he is on? I can ask the vets on the radio show Thursday (tomorrow) if milk thistle would be okay or beneficial, as sometimes things can interact and cause more problem than help!

    Sorry Karen, I don't.

Got to see Seamus this past Saturday. He's lost a bit of weight but not the pep in his step.

It’s very sad to hear this . My heart really goes out to you. I hope you are able to find help so that she lives a long healthy life. However, for now feed her with the holistic diet, as natural foods offer more in the way of nutrition and anti-oxidants that could help your pet regain a healthier functioning system.
