Thread: Well that's an improvement!

    Well that's an improvement!

Angel has had major issues anytime she's been left in the house by herself.

My humans have gone, they're not coming back, the world MUST PAY!

THis has yielded a swath of destruction that's epic. Kleenex boxes, kid's toys, dvd's, anything she could get her teeth on.

This morning, before leaving for church, we took a leg bone that she's had and gnaws on, put some peanut butter in it, and stuck it in the freezer. I gave it to her before I left, and there was no destruction!

Because it's less painful than the pup chewing on my fingers!

Good girl, Angel! Your people left, but they came back to you

    Peanut butter is magic!

Have you tried a crate? Worked for us!

A crate is a non-starter, it would eliminate a major reason for having a dog in the house in the first place.

LH, will this stop eventually? Will Angel come to learn that even though her humans leave, they always return to her. How is she doing with having access to "her" window, that seemed to help for awhile. I am sorry she gets so stressed when her people go away from her. Angel, sweety, they will never NOT come home to you.

It's all a matter of time and working with her to figure out what works. It took Lady months to get over being alone in the house, eventually Angel will get over it.

Have you thought of leaving the remote where she can get to it?

    -------------------

I woke up once with the dog and the remote in bed with me.

I had to piece it back together - the remote, not the dog.

You mean like the 2-day old remote with teefmarks in it?

I had one of the first stereo VCRs back in the 80s - A Panasonic.

I fell asleep with the dog and the remote on the bed.

Woke up and it was in pieces......I managed to get it back together and spoke to a woman whose husband owned a video store.

A new remote was 50 dollars.

Needless to say, I had a remote with the top chewed up, the wires to the batteries held in place by the contacts and some tape to hold it together.

It worked until the day the deck gave up the ghost...............
