    RIP Edith Bunker

According to the news, actress Jean Stapleton has passed away at the age of 90. Many of us remember her as Edith Bunker, Archie's wife on "All In The Family". She won several awards for her outstanding performance and also has a proud history on stage and in other tv shows.

RIP Ms. Stapleton and thank you for the countless hours of fun and entertainment you gave to so many of us over the years. You will be remembered fondly.

While I wasn't a huge fan of AITF, I did love the movie, Damn Yankees.

Stapleton played a supporting role in the movie and you can see the birth of the Edith Bunker character there.

Saw that she was an actress for 60 years.

Not a bad gig, if you can get it!

RIP Jean Stapleton. You and the crew certainly did bring a lot of laughs to this household.

Now I have the theme song stuck in my head - Edith singing "Those Were the Days" - in that screechy voice. So funny.................

Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.
