Woman celebrates her 114th birthday - oldest woman in the U.S.

And she looks pretty darn good!

Jeralean Talley celebrated her 114th birthday in Inkster, Michigan, on May 26.

Reminds me of a joke (?) I read where someone asked a senior woman what the best part was of being 104 years old. She answered, "No peer pressure!"

And being a proper African-American lady, she is dressed to the nines for church! I love her hat, and of course the picture of her holding her great-great-grandson!

I love how she looks! The hat is great! And her expressive face and gestures belie her age!

I'll never look that good at 114 - simply because I'll be loooooong gone way way way before that!

I don't care how good she looks and I hope to be long gone by that age myself, not interested in being around that long...the world is just going too crazy for me......amazing that someone could make it to that age though.

I always wanted to live to be 112, so I could tell all the youngsters "Oh, yeah, I remember the Bicentennial!"
