I'm pretty sure my kitty has made ALL these sounds just in the past few days........ He's a compulsive talker and apparently fluent in many languages too! Indonesian: ngeong = a meow while licking his chops..... Korean: (n)ya-ong = a meow ended by a yawn.......... Thai: meow meow (with high tone) = just saw a bird or squirrel outside the window......

Great list !! And you are right , my kitties say "miauw" , which is Dutch !!!

they also speak an unknown language (not on list ) ; sounds like :"MAW ? MAW?" it means : "whats up ?" or "Can I get some food mommy ?" Good that i am multi-lingual ...

Juni says it most of the time in Romanian - miau, spelled like German (I guess, she would enjoy a talk with Tigris and Filou if their German and Romanian sound the same).
But, as I said before, I am a translator and I speak with her in Romanian, Russian and English, some French from time to time and I like to call her Katze, like in German. OF COURSE, she understands everything, 'cause she answers back
She must know some Japanese too, but it's not from me. She's getting along very well with Pikachiu as you can see

Ha - I LOVE the picture of Juni "kicking Pickachiu's butt"! And look at her ears in the battle position - she's taking no prisoners! Her color is so pretty; I like the gold undertones.
