    Spring weather

We had frost warnings last night, and may again tonight - the days hav been cool but LOOK bright and sunny. Kind of odd, how has your spring been going, weatherwise?

A random note - bought new pink socks yesterday, and they are the precise color (as it turns out) of the azalea blossoming by my front sidewalk!

Mother's day we had snow and more snow mixed with rain...a high of 1C. Yesterday was a bit warmer, a high of 17C but it cooled off by evenIng and it was 1c this morning. Right now It's 7C and we're waiting for thunderstorms--- better than snow I guess.
I won't venture to guess what tomorrow will bring as even the forecasters are changing their minds every hour.

Sunday, Mother's Day, was sunny but cool for May in Chicago. Then we had frost warnings -- in May?!! Then yesterday and today it was in the 80s. We went from brrrr to summer in half a week! But that's what they say in Chicago - you don't like the weather we have here, just give it ten minutes

Two nights ago we had record setting lows in the 30s. It was 90 today.

Time helps the sadness subside, but the memories remain forever.

Ok, just a reminder that I am in CALIFORNIA!! It was in the upper 80s lower 90s last week. Today it is raining.
It's not really cold, but I just had my car washed on Tuesday!!! So I guess it's my fault it rained.

Sounds like you have the opposite weather of me! Although it never really gets into the 30s here.

Thinking and praying for people in the plains states affected by storms and tornadoes. On the news I saw a video of snow in New York -- in May!?! We have a chance of rain every day this week. It rained hard last night and early this morning, but now it is sunny and clear. The White Sox and Cubs play each other this week. They got the game in Monday, but yesterday's game had to be postponed after the third inning because a strong thunderstorm came through. Last year at this time we couldn't get a drop of rain for anything, but this year is a very wet spring.

Right now Chicago is in the path of a storm front that extends all the way across Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. I thought June was supposed to be the nicest month of the year, but this certainly isn't nice. It's dark and rainy out right now. I don't like storms.

You'll be in our prayers, that you and all your loved ones stay safe.

That big storm was supposed to pass through here, but it ended up passing through an hour north of here and leaving us entirely alone. There was a bad tornado last night not that far away. What was projected to be severe thunderstorms for this county turned out to be a little wind and some light rain that came only after the severe storm watch was lifted.

Two weeks ago we were dealing with floods yet again. They were predicting it could be the second highest flood level on record but when it was all over it was only the tenth. We're just glad to not have a repeat of 2008! (Five years ago today!) So twice in two weeks this town dodged the bullet.
