Great pictures of everything - of course that includes the kitties!

Your grounds are absolutely stunning - such great gardens and the pond. Is that Koi fish I see? How many are there? I know that they can be very expensive and grow quite big too.

Thanks so much for sharing your Spring.

Yes, there are several koi's in our pond! we bought them many years ago when they were only 10cm long. Thanks to my hubby's good care, they have grown into really beautiful koi's
There are some Japanse koi's (most expensive), ghost koi's and Isreali koi's, I am not sure about the names. But I know we have 3 different kinds.
There are also plenty of goldfishes (from babies to fullgrown ones), and lots of a kind we call "Windes" here
    Only the goldfishes have offspring

I've often wondered - how do they survive the winter? Do you have a heater for the water in the cold weather - and so that the pond doesn't become an ice rink too???

No no LOL, as soon as the temperature outside goes below 10°C, you may not feed the fish any longer; The fishes then go into hibernation; they are not really asleep, but they hardly move anymore. Because our winter here was so long and cold, we only restarted feeding at the Easter!!!
In fact it is even dangerous to feed your fishes during the cold period! They wake up then and start swimming around, and the danger is that they freeze fast onto the ice that covers your pond. The pond does get an ice layer, so it is better to keep at least one opening in the ice; we have a thing that brings lots of oxygen into the pond, and this keeps the opening where the bubbles come upwards

I hope I make myself clear?....

WOW - that's interesting. Thanks. Guess I'm not too old afterall, to learn something new. The only fish I have ever dealt with is when I had a 40 gallon aquarium in the house with tropical fish. Sure couldn't have that one freezing...........

Hello, Maya and Inka! What a wonderful garden your meowmie has made! Full of lovely spring flowers and beloved kitties! Could you please have meowmie give you some petting and lovies from me, too -- some too for Zazou and Snoopy

Yes Zazou and Snoopy are indoor only; It's for their own good!
Snoopy has an opening in her brestbone (you can see and feel her heart beeting) so there is a much to great risk that she might jump on something sharp and perforate her liitle heart! Zazou used to be indoor/outdoor like Maya & Inka, but she has the bad habit to run straight to the hedge at the back of the garden, climb over the fence, and jump into our backneighbour's garden! Already twice she ended in one of the sheds there! That neighbour is NOT catfriendly, so he never even told us that Zazou was in there! Of course he knew we were searching her, because there were flyers on every tree, in every mailbox in the neighbourhood! Only after more than 1 week, he told us that our cat was there....; Poor Zazou, 10 days without any food nor water....! They are both used to being indoor kitties now; but everytime Maya & Inka come back inside, Snoopy and zazou go sniffing their butt very intensily!!!LOL!!

Thanks for the nice comments here!!
Oh yes, I'm not the one who takes care of the garden, my only job is enjoying it's beauty! My hubby is also my gardener

Oh, it's so good to see your gardens, and the girls out and enjoying them! A picnic table simply looks better with a cat sunning on it! Thanks so much for sharing with us all! We know Bernard does the hard work, but you do make the effort to show the gardens to the rest of us, so that counts!
