No, nothing yet Karen. I was told it would take about 2 days to get results so I should hear something tomorrow. All my other kitties have passed from old age so this is my first experience with feline cancer. I shamefully admit that I've been home all day and in my lazy-boy with Merlin on my chest sleeping. He's in front of the fireplace now so will head downstairs to the workout room for a bit.

    More later when I hear.

    Diagnosis confirmed: Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
Dr. Singh estimates that I have two months with him at best.

I am so very, very sorry.

Hugs to you, Vicki, and gentle pets to dearest Merlin.

Having been through mouth cancer with Morgan, this thread is very hard for me to read. I have been checking back regularly though, hoping for good news. I'm so sorry to hear the diagnosis. Enjoy the time you can spend with Merlin to the full. Many thoughts are with you.

Time helps the sadness subside, but the memories remain forever.

Slick, my heart is breaking at this news! I remember your stories about Merlin's drooling when he was getting loved and thought, "Wow, never heard of that before!" Then, Kimba joined our family and he drools buckets, too! I never hold him on my lap and pet him without thinking of dear Merlin. I am sending up big prayers that Merlin feels no pain and that you have much more quality time together!

I am grateful that I got to meet Merlin last September. He is such a gentle boy, with those unique eyes.

I just feel sick at this news, though nothing like you must be feeling. I wish there was an effective treatment for this cancer - ALL cancers, for all living creatures. Cancer sucks!!!

    It's just not fair.

All my love to you and Merlin. I know you will do everything for him and that he will be loved, spoiled and comfortable for the rest of his life.
