What a beautiful tribute to Fister. I had LES just reading how much he meant to you & john. and I know how
much everyone who knew Fister on PT feels the pain of his loss as well. He was such a special little guy and
will never be forgotten. (((Hugs))) Randi.

Thank you everyone for your caring replies, it warms my heart.

Today, I took Fister back home, in his urn. I have him in my bedroom with a candle lit next to him.

Randi - I hope now that Fister is back home with you, that you can begin to start the healing process in earnest, and find closure. It was always a relief to me when I brought one of mine home to stay, tho a bittersweet experience.

    {{{Hugs}}} to you........

What a beautiful letter to Fister you've written. I was thinking about how he spent the first 8 years with both you and John and then the second 8 years with you and now he has gone to be with John. The image you posted of the Rainbow Bridge stairs with him in the middle between you both is so amazing. As if he's pausing and reflecting on all the love he's known from you both.

I'm sure this continues to be extremely difficult and painful but I hope that each day is getting a little better.

It may be because I linked to page eight, but try Advanced Search and type in Fister and username jonza - uncheck Exact name. Or try this: http://petoftheday.com/talk/search.php?searchid=313366
