Wow, you really get snow and cold over there, don't you! So much so it reached the news on TV here.

I'm seeing a mostly blue sky here, and we have plus 5C right now. Quite spring like. Think I'll clean my windows.

Like "momcat" said - BRRRR COLD in our neck of the woods. Coldest weather so far of this year's winter season, and feeling like it did last year at this time. But last year we had already had almost 2 feet of snow, but next to nothing so far this year. Had a coupe of inches yesterday, and also a couple about 2 weeks before Christmas - that's it so far.

The wind is making it feel even colder than it really is, and tomorrow is supposed to be even colder. I like the cold - just not the wind that sometimes goes along with it. It's supposed to warm to more normal temps by the weekend - in the 30's. We probably won't see Niagara Falls freeze like last year.

You all will probably laugh at me when I say we are going to have our coldest weather of the season at 10 degrees tonight and maybe 28 high tomorrow. The high today was 35 & it's dropping as time passes. 10 degrees is COLD--for us anyway!! We're not used to 10 degrees at night. We do not have any snow at all and none is expected in central North Carolina where I live. Hopefully this cold spell will not last very long.

    It's 1.

The forecast is for a high of 1 F and a low of -4 F.

Not to say that someone is COLD with her short-furred pitty body, but we went outside for her morning piddle, and she barely stopped. Down to the lawn piddle, and looped back to the porch, barely pausing to look at me and say "Dad, you coming?".

Wolfy LOVES the cold and the snow, and would stay out and run and romp - if only he could talk Mom into it!!!!! We were just outside for only about 5 minutes, and I had to drag him in. He was having a grand old time racing around like a crazy fool. I would stay out and let him play longer - but the wind is too much for this skinny pile of bones that has no fat on them to stay warm.

The school system here has already called a 2hour delay for the start of school tomorrow - forecast is just way too cold to have kids standing out in the still partial darkness waiting for their bus.

Strangely, it is not THAT cold here - but my choir director has called off rehearsal for tomorrow night! In a heated building ... ah well ...

It is currently 18°F (which is -8C) with wind chill of minus one °F, but is supposed to warm into the twenties tomorrow afternoon!

This morning it was - 37C...felt like -55 with the windchill. We had a severe weather warning about frostbite, all shelters were open and they asked the homeless to come in out of the cold. Some just prefer to huddle outside under steps, bridges or what not, just don't know how they survive. Tonight is supposed to be colder and another cold day with high winds tomorrow... But we are way ahead of the game with the snow... we only have about 4 ft this year...hope it stays that way.

Too darn cold to be outside today ! I already gave Wolfy fair warning that there wouldn't be much play time outside, and he had better not lollygag around on his potty breaks. It was sooooooo cold when we went out at 6:30 this a.m. Thankfully, he has an extra large holding tank, and can seemingly go forever and not do anything in the house. He goes at least 12 hours from his last break at night - all the way to his first break the following morning. He's such a good boy in that department - too bad he couldn't work a little harder to overcome his food addiction.

It's 1 degree in Indy. -17 wind chill. COLD I had to tempt Maggie with a treat to come back inside this morning. Smokey didn't need coaxing at all.
