12 degrees F with sour bone chilling winds tonight. The wood stove motor is humming, & I am wrapped up in my flannel blanket with wool socks on my feet & fleece jacket to keep me warm. May have to make up some hot chocolate for a warmer upper. January 2015 the coldest month of the year will be here in another 3 hours. Bring it on !!!!
The frost is on the pumpkin & I've been BOO'D by two pet talk ghosts.
    Thank you Fritz & Cassiesmom

We are under a winter storm warning. It is going to start snowing later this afternoon and continue all night. 4-6" of snow are expected.

Warm here - well, 33°F - above freezing counts as warm in January in Massachusetts, I think! But snow is a possibility, more for tomorrow than today!

The wind certainly arrived this afternoon, the parking spaces that don't have cars in them are full of hundreds of seed pods from the trees lining it! Right now it is 17°F (-8°C) but "feels like" -17°F with the windchill.

It's 6F (-14C) this afternoon. I know December 2014 was mild compared to December 2013, but oh boy, it's cold out today.

Unbelievably cold and getting colder still, like -25 degrees Celsius Wed/Thurs factoring in wind chill factor. And sidewalks are frozen solid, like sheet ice. Joy unbounded - not!

Here in Trenton it's 22 degrees and it's snowing. If anyone would like to join us here in the tropics, let me know and I'll put the coffee on.

We're about 20 degrees warmer right now, but tomorrow night it will get down to 13. Most of our kids and some adults do not have the weather gear for this weather.

I stocked up on Kerosene for the next few days.

Sounds like a plan Momcat! As by tomorrow (Wed) night we will be enjoying the degree of "feels like" -27 Farenheit. Just give me a few minutes to scare up my summer gear.

Well, it's now all of 14 degrees and sinking like a stone. Our weatherman, Hurricane Schwartz, is saying it will feels like -4 F. in the morning when my son has to leave for work. One of the perks of being retired - I don't have to go out.

Many of the schools in the Chicago area will be closed tomorrow for student safety. I hope Soncat will get a snow day! (with pay!)
