A thunderstorm came through overnight with a cold front. 51F right now, cloudy and windy. They're saying low 40s overnight. Fall is definitely here.

Today was only 54°F at the highest - so "freezing!!!" in Paul's estimation! I am enjoying my first mug of hot tea for the season - that's really one of those signs of fall for me!

That, and that there are suddenly Chrysanthemums at the supermarket! I guess that's how city folks note the changing of the seasons!

It's 47F out tonight. They're predicting rain and wind with temps in the mid 40s tomorrow, but the wind might make it feel even colder. I remember Halloweens when I had to wear a heavy coat over my costume trick-or-treating.

The 40's today, but the wind makes it feel a lot colder. I'll take the colder weather over the hot and humid muck, but hate the wind with the cold and it makes me feel like a popsicle! Had a lot of that last winter - hope the wind isn't too bad this winter. Yesterday was miserable - cold, windy and rain all day - so stayed in the house and did a lot of nothing all day except eat and watch t.v. - when Wolfman and I weren't napping.

Oh, friends who live further east! I saw a story on the news tonight about wind, rain and snow in the eastern U.S. Please be safe and warm!

Here in central NC, it's 70 today--beautiful. Now ask me again tomorrow/ night;is an Artic front on the way and Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun it's supposed to be COLD COLD. I dread having to put on coat, gloves, tobogan for my head. Takes so long to get ready to take the little ones outside. Poor LilGirl always does her bathroom quickly outside and then runs to her "daddy" to pick her up & put her in his coat. Miss Sissy Pom seems to ignore cold weather. Maybe it's because she has more layers of hair than LilGirl.

Not COLD - but summer has definitely departed. It's about 60 right now - lookin at the 50's tomorrow, and then the 40's after that. Into next week it isn't supposed to get out of the 30's some days. I like it - just don't like having to get the shoes and warm jacket on every time Wolfy decides he wants to go out. He's good tho - he can go forever before he has to "go". Every night it's at least 12 hours - goes out for the last time around 6:30 p.m. since he doesn't like being out too long in the dark, and my flashlight doesn't lite up the whole back 1.5 acres for him , so he doesn't lollygag around much, and then we don't go out till around 7 the next morning. He must have an extra large holding tank.
