Freezing temps have been such a hassle down here, mainly because of our outside plants. Fortunately temps are trending upward in past week or so, maybe it's over for us. Dogs (Yorkies) didn't mind a bit, save for my rescue Navi (a Chi w/short hair) lots of shivering, but reason enough for more cuddling with her. I'm SO anxious for warmer weather.

Around here it's not nearly cold enough, 35 degrees. Not only that, we got cheated out of a snowstorm that promised somewhere around 6" but we barely got a dusting. A major disappointment to say the least! I'm hoping for another arctic blast that will permanently scare spring away - UGH! Many people get seasonal depression in the winter. I consistently get it in the spring and this has happened every spring for a lot of years, talked to my doctor about it but no physical cause was found.

It isn't cold at all here! In fact we even didn't have a "normal" winter....!
It only froze about 5 days (C°), and we didn't get a single bit of snow
The bad thing with this, is that almost no insects died, so I am afraid we will have much to many bugs this summer....!
Yesterday I saw a huge spider on the back porch....!
We have beautiful Spring weather now, with really lots of flowers in the garden, trees are getting new leaves, etc....!
I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & Zazou Be happy there at the Rainbow Bridge

    It's -15C here right now (10:00 am) with a wind chill of -23C. That's +5F with a windchill of -10F.

We've had snow - in fact, we had a full day of snowfall and wind on the 20th! Spring? I think not!

However, March and even April can be punctuated with blizzards which are followed by melting days. Time to drive carefully and stock up on windshield washer fluid!

Would you believe 30F tonight. It was over 60 when we left church yesterday morning. It's supposed to only be in the low 40s tomorrow, more like mid-March than mid-April.

There are a few yellow flowers on the forsythia bush in front of my building, though!

We have another cold snap inbound tonight, temps dropping like a stone this afternoon and light snow.

Yesterday way warm and so windy - 45 m.p.h. they predicted, I am sure some were even stronger. Today it is raining and 64, with a predicted halving of that, 32 and maybe some light snow this evening.

Rainy, chilly and windy. Gloomy day to match my mood. After temps in the upper 70's to low 80's for the past several days, wet snow and temps below freezing are forecast for overnight and tomorrow morning, and high's MIGHT make it to 50. Only 50's - 60's thru the rest of the week.

Em - if you see this - tomorrow - I promise. If I am functioning, that is.

It is mea'nt to be Autumn in NZ, however it is not cold at all, the temps have been 27 degrees C lately, i cannot believe how warm it is, i am really a winter person and i am so over the warmth, we had a cold Jan though which is usually one of our hottest months, but by now it should be getting a lot cooler.
We have had some glorious sunshine as well, but easter has brought us some much needed rain and we even had a cyclone on thursday just before easter.

Weather is so strange, gosh if it keeps this up we will be like the gold coast australia soon, hoping not.,too hot for me.
