Goodbye Earl Weaver and Stan 'The Man' Musial..

Baseball lost two legendary figures, Earl Weaver and Stan Musial, in the last few days.

Stan Musial, a St. Louis Cardinal for years, was 92.

Earl Weaver, the long time Baltimore Oriole coach was 82.

    ----------------

If you ever had the chance to watch an Orioles game when Weaver was coaching?

You prayed for a close call so EW would get out of the dugout and 'discuss' the play with an umpire.

RIP, The All-Star roster in heaven just got a little bigger today...

I remember Weaver grew tomato plants in the ball park. I also remember when he'd get ticked off at the umpires and argue with one or more of them.

He was worth the price of admission by himself.

As for Stan "The Man" Musial - pure class. They must be happy in Heaven right now - to have Musial join the team.

Baltimore deeply mourns Earl Weaver - he was one of a kind. My husband was speechless-Earl Weaver was 'the General' to the Orioles team we all knew the best. RIP Earl.

So, so, so sad to hear about Musial. Fans here in St. Louis are leaving flowers and gifts at his statue outside Busch Stadium. He was not just a man of great baseball statistics; he was a great person too. He was a true legend that will never be forgotten.

I am a Cardinal fan and have been for over 40 years. CardinalNation lost a legend and we are all saddened by it. RIP Stan and Earl.

Just realized... Musial passed away on the 19th, the night of the Blues opening game, and they scored 6 goals to win the game... Stan's number.
