    Ryder's First Snow!

Ryder turned 9 weeks old today and experienced his first encounter with snow! First impression? HE LOVED IT. He kept running around and will find himself sliding down the deck trying to stop then he'll go for another run. He will jump and dive headfirst into the snow and will try to find a stick. He loves to go after snowballs. Once he has it, he'll run away and try to keep it in his mouth but it'll fall out and fall into the snow! He will dig and dig to find that lost snowball of his. Oh he didn't want to come inside either! I had to go pick him up and bring him in. Silly boy. I think he'll have so much fun playing in the snow this winter and I look forward to it. He's such a joy.

Two pictures to share from today (and a couple others):

AND one picture from my Nikon DSLR:

Hee hee! Our Saint Bernard, Freckles, used to adore the snow, too - but instead of catching snowballs, she'd pounce on them. And then get quite puzzled as to where it went! (As is any snowball in creation could survive being squashed by 185 pounds of enthusiasm!)

Thanks for sharing, he is gonna be one well-photographed pup!

Tee hee, Ryder will be at least between 80-90lbs. We will see! He is at 15lbs and only 9 weeks... big paws, too! He seems to be getting darker too around the face & legs.

With Labs and Golden Retrievers, they say the color of the puppies ears indicate what color the rest of the dog will likely end up being!

    So sweet

As I am sure I've said, I can smell the puppy breath from here! Just adorable. Makes one want to go out an get a puppy. Wait. You have a grown puppy, thank you, said Prue the dog. She was so cute when she was a puppy. I also went through three, yes three, power cords to my laptop. She was quite sneaky about her chewing. She is good now. My bad.

I hope you have lots of great times with this little one. They grow up so darn quickly. Take lots of photos and of course, share them all with us, so we can get our puppy fixes when you do!

    Happy holidays.
Sas and Prue (and the cats, too)

P.S. I just added an avatar of Prue as a puppy!

AWww, the photos in the snow are my favorite. The one of Mike playing with him is so adorable!
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I just love how they react to snow the first time they see it. Even if they hate water, they still love snow!
