    Christmas Tree and Decorations 2012

Some photos of my tree this year. It has cats ornaments, bichon ornaments, rescue ornaments, and a few other things.

And the rest of the Family Room has the Nativity and a bichon someone gave me last year, so this is the first time I've had it out.

I love to sit with the lights out and only the tree lit. I have a few lights outside. The cellar has boxes and boxes of Christmas decorations, but I just can't seem to put all that up anymore.

    Lovely!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I like that too. Reminds me of childhood trees. Very pretty. I like the creche, we always had a place for that as well.
Looks like you're all set for Santa.

Looks great, Sandie. I love that little Bichon too - that's adorable. We're like you - so much in the way of decorations have been collected over about 50 years, that we could decorate at least 2 more trees and another whole house - easily.

We put the tree up today and decorated inside, so now I'm beat. The tree has no theme - just all of the old favorites and some newer ones too. Didn't even do much outside since the weather is so nasty - just put up the waterfall/icicles on the peak above the front porch, and a couple of inflatables (which my son said he'd never put up again). I refuse to tell him "I told you so", tho.

Very nice. The Bichon is adorable. I don't decorate any more and I haven't had a tree since I've had cats. It's nice to see other peoples decorations though.

    Love the decorations-- very festive.

We're slowly getting there but no tree this year, just no energy to haul it out plus all the boxes of light and decorations so I have two ceramic trees that have the lights in, just need to plug them in . Then we decorated the rest of the house with souvenirs, and nativity scenes in the living and family room. We even put up mistletoe on the ceiling divider. Banisters all done up in lights...it's going to be so much less work when the holidays are over and we're all done in.

This comment struck me, as we never had ribbon on a tree -- that was only something I'd see in stores growing up. Then about 4 years back I decided to give it a try! So for me this is a middle adult thing!
