    Cannon Beach Walks

We spent a few days in Cannon Beach OR this week and enjoyed fabulous beach walks. The weather was amazing for the time of year - we had the pleasure of a Cannon Beach sunset on the day we arrived. Many families celebrating Thanksgiving and Black Friday in the Village was so civilized.

We did!! Cannon Beach is very doggie friendly - even have their own shop with all kinds of goodies. Walking the beach is very entertaining - not only the scenery - the puppers have so much fun chasing each other around and getting to know other dogs and people walking the beach. It is fun!!

The two in my photos are the same two dogs in the sunset photo - they are great buddies.

Me too!! We had not been there for some time and completely fell in love with the place all over again. It is such a great place to chill out, relax and meet people and very close to Portland which is so convenient. I wish we could retire to Cannon Beach who knows???? My boss has a beautiful beach house there and she has offered to let us stay there whenever we like - how cool is that!!

Cannon Beach is about 1 1/2 hours from Portland - Hwy 26. It's a very special place - you should go.

Your pictures of the coastline are terrific. My daughter lives about 1 hr away from
the coast. While visiting, I got to see it all in person. Just gorgeous there & the people
are all very nice & friendly. Great places to eat, shop or just walk the beautiful beaches.
I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I couldn't believe it when I saw this thread, Betty. My nephew was married on this beach at the end of September. I was unable to go, but my brother did go and raved about the town.

The wedding was on the beach and the reception was in the hotel right on the beach. My nephew has gone with this girl for ten years and everyone is absolutely nuts about her - she is so special and good for my nephew.

When we got the news that they were finally going to get married we just let out a whoop of joy.

They just celebrated another special event - the 15th birthday of their black lab - Mingus.

Cannon Beach is a wonderful place for a wedding. Congratulations to your nephew and his bride. I hope Mingus was able to attend and enjoy the beach - it really is a doggie's dream.
