Thread: Charlotte's Web

    Charlotte's Web

We have had significant coastal fog this week. Many days so thick I cannot see the house across the street! The moisture sticks to many things. I went outside the other morning and saw something glowing in a tree...and oh how I wished I had Kirsten's talent!!!

Wow, that is one impressive web! Did you manage to see Charlotte, and find our what kind of spider she is?

Stunning photographs! Thank you, Sara. And what a talented spider!

Wow, what an amazing web! There's more than one, isn't there?

I don't think I'd care to meet up with the spinner of that orb! It must be a monster!!

Great shots tho! Glad I can admire from afar --- really far!

  10. If you do not like to look at spiders....close this thread now!

This type of spider - which comes out in the fall - does not appear during the day. They climb up to the top and then slide back down at night. I got a closeup of this right after we moved here. A spider had a web on the outside of the kitchen window and I could watch it come down at night. They do make incredible, huge, gorgeous webs. Walking into one is an unpleasant experience - for me anyway!

One time a spider had built her web right outside the door where I go at night to take out the cat litter. I took a photo of her. I think I have posted this before but... there is Charlotte's great aunt...Charlotta...

And Betty....what is your magic that made my photos so much better????

A program called Capture NX - it makes my picture taking world so much easier - I can't take a straight picture!! Super user friendly and coupled with View NX; you can enhance photos brilliantly without a lot of brain pain.

Wow, I love the first pic. It looks like it's in 3D. Something like the "black hole" in space. It also amazing
that the spider could make a web down to the sidewalk like that. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
