Cali - Dental Today - Sunday - She's sick, need advice

Will be taking Miss Cali to the vet this evening for her pre-dental exam, cost estimate and blood work. She's not going to be a happy girlie!

Cali is not a happy kitty, but she will be by the end of next week. She will be having a dental on Friday, October 19th. She is likely going to loose 2 teeth (one upper one lower) on the right side, at the back. Otherwise her other teeth are just fine.

    So odd

Isn't it odd that the cats can have two bad teeth and all the rest are fine. My Chloe just had dental work done and her gums were fine and all but three teeth were tartar free - three got pulled. You would think that all her teeth would have tartar on them, but NOOOOO. I am just as happy but would prefer all her teeth were fine!

Good luck with your kitty's dental work!

You may have to stop at the Savings and Loan, first, though.

The cost estimate is just under $800 for her dental. She is totally worth it though.

Cali is at the vet now. She is having her dental today. Won't be home until 7 or 8 tonight. Diego is beside himself without her here. I'm working from home today to keep him company.

Kiss delivered Karen. She is tired. Ate a little bit of watered down wet food. Diego is keeping his distance. I've sprayed some feliway to keep the peace.

Glad to hear that Cali came thru the ordeal with only 2 ouchies - one for the pulled tooth, and the other for her bruised dignity!

    Feel better soon, Cali.

I can't believe the price of dentals for cats and dogs. Yikes!

Dentals at my clinic, even with extractions, are maybe $300. A canned estimate (without extractions) ranges from $200-$250. It amazes me how expensive they are elsewhere!! And we aren't an old-school clinic by any means, either. Cra-azy.

Glad to hear everything went well

Wow! I sure wish they were this cheap here. I do consider $300 cheap because I've had to usually pay $800 - $1000 range which did include extrations. Everything is much more expensive in CA.

I'm also glad to here that everything went well and that Cali is now home.
