Interesting. Nurses are not even on the list. I think the level of stress on my job exceeds that of a photojournalist, call me crazy.

Cassiesmom, I tend to agree with you, judging from the stories my nurse neighbor tells me.

Try working in the customer service field (higher end office based, not Walmart type c.s.) for 30+ years. The idiots you get on the other end of a phone line are even worse than ones that are in your face, but of course as the boss says - "the customer is always right". The best part of the job???? - RETIREMENT!!!!!

Seems to be a pretty random list, I wonder what they based their choices on. And why is not "parent to small children" on there? Try telling a mother of infant twins her "job" is not as stressful as a photojournalist!

I agree with the other jobs mentioned being incredibly stressful. The more stressful ones on the list seemed to account for risk to life. Photojournalists in war zones are likely to be shot/kidnapped/killed - and it has happened.

But that is such a small percentage of the photojournalists in the world, most live and work far away from the stress of warzones. War correspondents - whether camera or video or written word-based have a much more stressful existence than their everyday counterparts.

Looks designed for a political agenda to me!

I do not think you can compare the type of stress in one job to the type of stress in another.

Is there a job totally absent from stress?

    Too many variables...

I would like to add to the list veterinary technician! It's totally not about playing with puppies and kittens all day like most think!
