    Road trip Thursday 538

Hey everyone, It's time to take a raod trip?

    Who is in?

I got some bologna and cheese sandwiches, ice cold drinks in the cooler and a road map.

Oh, whoever wants the 'shotgun' seat has to take it up with the ORC (driving) and Angel.

    Done!

    Ooh, a VW microbus! Cool.

We should go to Chicago to see Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Another overtime game last night!

Oh, goodie! I'll be ready! Wear shorts and bring an umbrella, because it is supposed to be in the high 80s all weekend with the chance of rain each day. It is raining now. Before the game we could go to Superdawg for a Chicago hot dog or maybe Gino's East for deep dish pizza if you like. Or we could go over to Millennium Park and see "the Bean".

We could take Angel up to Wiggly Field I will go get some extra tennis balls for her.

    I guess it's gonna be a Chi-town weekend.

We can go try and find the place the Blues Brothers ran wild?

Oh, what fun! I've been wanting to visit Chicago for a long time!

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Darn!!! Wish I had known earlier about this road trip - you could all have come to the Firefly Music Festival this weekend in Dover - about 12 miles from here. It's 3 days of bands, food, drinks, and everything else you can imagine at this type of event. Anyone remember Woodstock???

ETA: It's more than just a 3 day drinking (and whatever ) event. Proceeds go to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, so that makes it worthwhile in the end.

Can we please go to Boston for tomorrow's game? I have never been there, but it is a city I'd like very much to visit. Loads of history and culture. I bet the Red Sox are having a better year than either of the Chicago baseball teams! It's already 80 and humid in Chicago- I'm just drinking water with a slice of lemon. I already had coffee after church.
