Brush for cat grooming

I want to get a little bit of advice here, which brush is best for my cat’s coats?
I've looked at the some but I am still confused as to which one is too good to buy!
The metal bristled one, the plastic bristled one, the plastic zoom groom thing or the shedding comb?
Any advice on a preferred one would be greatly appreciated. flea treatment

Is your cat short or long haired?

I love to brush my cats so I have several different types of brushes. I have a soft bristled brush for their ears and muzzle and chin. I use a slicker type brush on Buddy because he has medium length coat. I also have a shed ender I use on Buddy when he goes through a major shedding period.

Oh and I have a comb as well.

I was thinking the same thing, what is your kitty's coat like?

I've never used a brush. We have a comb that has narrow spaces between short teeth on one side, and wide spaces between long teeth on the other. My cat likes to be combed and that has worked very well.

My brother and family use a mitten - it looks a little like an oven mitt but they got it at the pet store. You just slip it over your hand and pet -- works great! Their kitty has a very plush coat so they use it a lot.

It definitely depends on what type of coat your cat has - which can vary widely, kitty to kitty! Some cats need regular brushing, some disdain any human efforts to intervene, and don't need the help!
