    Play where The Wild Things Are

    Maurice Sendak has passed away, the author of many beloved children's books, and one I had met! I waited in line to get a signed copy of a book by him at the BEA, and as you can imagine, it was long line. When I finally got the the front, he asked my name, and I said "I could recite Chicken Soup with Rice if you'd like .... " and he said "Please don't!" and smiled nicely.

    I loved reading Where the Wild Things Are to my preschool kids. They knew it by heart and would read along with me.
