    Yet another dog food recall!

    http://truthaboutpetfood.com/article...ld-recall.html

I have one bag of Chicken Soup that is affected. It is not open! The one I'm feeding now is safe. I only feed Chicken Soup a few days a week.

Yes, the Diamond pet food plant in SC has been completed shut down. No idea if this is permanent or what.

Here is the list of foods which were made at the Diamond plant which has been shut down:

Foods made by Diamond at the SC plant:

    Canidae Pet Food
    Costco's Kirkland Signature
Solid Gold Health Products for Pets
*** Van Patten's Natural Balance Pet Foods
Kirkland Signature Nature's Domain (Available only at Costco)
Taste of the Wild Pet Foods
Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul
4Health (Available only at Tractor Supply Company)
    NutraGold Super Premium Holistic Formulas

NOTE: NOT ALL ARE SUBJECT TO RECALL. However, there will be major shortages on all of these, as that plant services eastern USA and Canada, HUGE area. Here is a map of the area that plant serviced:
    https://diamondpetfood.s3.amazonaws.com/map_sm.png

The problems at that plant have been going on for some time (almost 6 weeks), and finally the entire Diamond plant had to be shut down. Everything made there, production has halted.
Canidae, one of the best foods, was made there! IT IS NOT IN RECALL STATUS.

I went to buy pet food Friday; Doggie Food / Alpha Nutrition, the distribution warehouse where I buy food, still had some of the cat TOTW for my clowder, but Tony said he's already been advised none of his orders for NEXT month (June) will be filled, and he is long out of the dog formulas. So the fluffs are going to move to Earthborn Holistics, the orange bag (forget the formula name) which is grain free, bison based. Willy MUST be on grain free, and the TOTW I used was bison and venison. Found it: Great Plains feast.

I also have to watch protein values; TOTW was 28%, this is 34% I sure hope it won't be too high.

Dagnabbit now I have to go check these bags tomorrow at work. We sold a bunch of ToTW today, hopefully none was affected.

Edit: AHA! I'm in California, I don't have to check them after all!

This is awful. You have to be afraid to feed your dogs! I don't think many people realize after feeding your dogs and cats, they should wash their hands!

snakemama, please check a few bags anyway!

Thanks for letting folks know! That was the good part about owning a bunny - food that's grown, not processed!

All my gang are on Taste Of The Wild (cats and dogs). Thankfully none of my bags were produced in SC although I do live in Kentucky. I'm NOT in a panic yet to switch brands. Every bag (cat/dog) will be checked in the future where I buy (Tractor Supply). I've been feeding TOFW for over yr and half. Snoppy is on the rabbit formula and it's cured his IBS. I love the grain free. I do have another source where I buy can (on line) cheaper than 1.99 a can Tractor Supply sells it for and if necessary I can get the bags from them too. It was easier and quicker to get bags at Tractor Supply. The cat formula of TOFW has reduced the hairball and barfing of food 98%. Amazing.

For time being I am holding tight.

Well this is awesome, Brennan's food is in the recall, but we aren't affected by it because his bag is okay. I hope Tractor Supply doesn't run out of it... Maybe I better go stock up while I can :/

Good for you Pets Supplies Plus! I received an email from them telling me the date I bought my last bag of Chicken Soup dog food at their store and to check the numbers and if it's in the recall (it is) return it to the store! I have their 'card' so they can see my past purchases.

I've also been hearing about this recall. I don't have any dogs but I do feed Chicken Soup For The Cat Loves Soul Adult Dry Light to Alani & Blaze. I've also been mixing it in with Before Grain Chicken dry for most of my other cats because for some reason they don't like their Wellness Core dry any more and they like this mixture. I use storage containers to put the dry food into and I usually always keep the bags in case there is a recall. I'm just glad that none of the food in CA has been effected. I do know that a few months ago when I tried to buy CSFTCLS the store was out of it and they said it was because a new plant was opening up and they couldn't keep up with the orders. I had to go to another store to buy some. Now there seems to be plenty of it. Will these recalls ever stop?
