    sometimes i wonder
who is smarter and who is
    in charge of the house
    ---------
    if i stand by the
front door and begin to cry
    the cat laughs at me
    -------
    if i wake the cat
from a deep slumber, i get
    the cat 'evil eye'
    -------
    if i should beg for
    any kind of human treat
    the cat stares at me
    ------
    pedagogic ? sure....
that cat has me wrapped around
    his little front paw!

    westminster II

    i sat on his lap
    patient as always, watching
    him root for the dogs.

    -----------------
    pomeranian,
    kerry blue, sheperds, lhasas-
    the bane of a cat.
    ------------------
    cat shows are far more
    dignified, no running, or
    folks poking at us
    ----------------

    what could be more wrong,
    letting a stranger stick his
    hand between my legs.

    a dignified cat
would never let it self be
    humiliated-

    in front of the world
and all those crazy dogs folks
    like i saw last night.

    -----------------
    should dad have a thought
    about making me a show
    cat, i will show him!!!!!

    i like my life now
    (i would have to bathe, i don't
    like water that much )

    he has given me a
    bath once, when he remembers
    he will sober up!!!!

    fire.

    i love the fireplace
my dad is worried that i
    like it way too much.

    i cry to go to
my grandma's place and i cry
    until i get fire

    i sleep in front of
the cracklin' flames, i love to
    absorb all the heat

    grandma worries that
the heat will make me sick but
    i know when to move.

    my dad is worried
that i will never come home-
    that he's abandoned

    i pretend i am
asleep in front of the fire
    so he leaves me be.

    finally i did
go home. I had to go to
    potty, drink and eat.

    next time i'll go
potty so i can stay at
    grandma's a long time.

    Early spring sounds like
    Melting snow drops falling down
    From the black branches

    Chirping birds where from
Do you come to your old nests
    Up in the gutter

    The quiet cats move
    their ears like independent
    Radar antennas
