    Time to wrap our gifts,
    Kitty must inspect them first...
    Cat hair on each one.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

    You, there, checking mail-
You want to take me home, right?
    Purr, purr, rub rub rub

(A regular scene with one of the neighbor cats - do not worry, he's a handsome, loved and owned boy, a pale yellow tabby with a collar, bell and a home, but whenever he is out, he'll befriend anyone who talks to him, especially me!)

    Cat's habits are carved

Today's COTD Princess China Origami Haiku got me thinking about this thread...

    source: hbprr.org

    The food in my bowl
Is old, and more to the point
    Contains no tuna.

    There's no dignity
In being sick - which is why
    I don't tell you where.

    Am I in your way?
You seem to have it backwards:
    This pillow's taken.

    The dog wags his tail,
    Seeking approval. See mine?
    Different message.

    My brain: walnut-sized.
    Yours: largest among primates.
    Yet, who leaves for work?

    Most problems can be
    Ignored. The more difficult
    Ones can be slept through.

Oh, these are great! Thanks, Elyse.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Cat at the window
    Observes falling snow in cool
    Rapt fascination

    Humans struggle with
Boots, mittens, hat and scarf just
    To leave the warm hearth

    Return frostbitten,
Cat food in hand; cat, aloof
    Refuses the gift
