Sugar, Lacey, and a short Marlin video; Willy and Tasha too

Sugar went to see the specialist this morning, and had the lavage procedure (4th time) for her nasal polyp. They needed to be sure her hair was out of the way. This is how she came home:

Been trying not to laugh at her, you may never see a bichon in pigtails ever again! I will leave them in for a day or so, while she heals and I keep giving the eye drops. She has a corneal ulcer in her left eye, it is healing well so far.

Lacey was looking adorable (as only a bichon can!) yesterday, so I snapped her photo:

Lacey (on sofa) Sugar and Marlin, over the weekend:

And this is the sulky pair when I got up and it was NOT to take them walkies:

Willy is on the left, Tasha is on the right

And a video of Marlin -- he does this the entire time I am preparing their dinner bowls, and any ole time he needs to check if the "Food Fairy" has been by to make a delivery. He eats in Dad's bedroom. He only does it once in the vid as he is camera shy!

He has always done this, though it has slowed down over the 4.5 years he has lived here. Sadly, he has not done it at all since Saturday, he is not feeling well. His joints are so sore, poor boy, he can't keep his rear end up. I talked with the vet and we have increased his Tramadol (he is on that and aspirin) and hope this will help him. BTW, he has NOT lost his appetite, he is still "Starvin' Marlin!" He heee

Just love to read about your crew. Nice to know that someone else has crazy bichons too. My boy Kirby is always starving "to death" if you ask him. The vet differs on that but Kirby's just so doggone cute it's easy to give him a treat.

Sugar, that's such a cute hairdo! I hope your nose and eye feel better!

Lacey, you look so comfortable! I remember your mum telling us that a Bichon likes to be up, off the floor -- and you sure are!

Willy and Tasha, you look disappointed that your mum has gotten up to do something other than a walk with you. But you're still sweet!

Darlin Marlin, I hope the increase in tramadol helps and you feel much better soon!

Aww, I loved the little video of Marlin checking for the food fairy. And the glimpse of the curious faces hanging out in the kitchen, hehe.
    Very cute photos too

How in the world did I miss this thread?? OMG - just seeing Sugar in pigtails has made my day. She looks so darn cute! How are her eyes doing now?

And my Marlin Darlin - well of course you know how I feel about that boy. How is he doing now that your vet increased the Tramadol? Is the butt staying up? Myndi is doing great since she started on Tramadol. Of course it's a battle and she hates me twice a day when I give it to her, but she is fast to forgive!

Lovins going out to ALL of the Fluffs.

He hee, I was so surprised to see this thread pop up again!

Sugar was at the specialist for the nasal polyp, that is how she got the pigtails. (Those are long gone). She has a follow up on Monday, as the procedure was not as successful as in the past. In fact, last night she and I made a midnight ride to the ER vet (same place the specialist is located) which is how she came to have the appt. on Monday. She is very congested and has trouble breathing.

Marlin is not doing well at all. He spins in circles, and seems lost in a fog of dementia. He is very very slow moving.

I didn't see this thread the first time either. Sugar sure looks adorable in her pigtails. I'm so sorry to hear that she's having trouble breathing. I'm also sorry to hear about Marlin. It's so hard to watch out pets age. Storm is also having some "senior moments" as I call them. He'll cry out like he's lost and then I have to pick him up and tell him that I'm here. They only last for a few seconds but it's still difficult to watch.
