    Logan to the whitecoats

My little man seems to be fine but his head, spine, and hips are starting to jut out. Still can't feel his ribs and according to the scale he's 10 lbs, but I just don't know. I wouldn't think a cat would starve itself, but that's what it appears he's doing.

I free feed dry but he either won't touch it or picks at it. If I give him tuna or wet food, he'll eat but won't finish the bowl. Crunchy treats he'll eat.

He is drinking and using the box and I've found nothing alarming in the box.

So he's off to the vet tomorrow at 10am. Hoping nothing more serious is going on.

Good wishes and prayers for Logan, that all is well or will be soon.

Prayers for Logan that the whitecoats can figure out what's amiss and get you back on the road to eating well.

Prayers for Logan. Maybe it's a tooth thing? I hope it is simple and treatable.

Good luck on the vet visit. I was thinking a sore tooth, as well.

I also think that it might be his teeth. Good luck at the vet tomorrow and I also hope that it's nothing serious.

Logan ate a little wet food tonight. It appeared like he was rolling the food around in his mouth, so I think you all may be right on the tooth issue.

He's currently just a purring away in my lap as I type this. He's such a lover now.

Logan was so good at the vet. This is the first time he's ever seen this vet and she was very nice.

Logan's mouth and teeth were in great shape. His blood work came back great as well. I'm to feed him wet food twice a day and he goes back in a week. If he's still losing weight, the vet said it's most likely a thyroid issue.

If he starts gaining weight, he simply is being picky about the dry food.

    His current weight is 9.75.

Thanks for all the good thoughts!

Yay! Glad to hear the good news, and that his mouth is in great shape. It's always hard, because cats don't necessarily communicate as well as we'd like!

Thanks! I've seen him eating the dry food multiple times today. I think he's hoping it'll keep him from having to go back to the vet. lol!
