    She will be missed. I think I have most of her books, including the ones she has co-written with her son Todd.

    As a life-imitating-art aside, we might have our very own "Red Star": Nemesis, the as-yet undiscovered second half of Sol's binary pair. Instead of sending out Thread, it sends comets from the Oort cloud every 26 million years!

    Sad to hear this... She was a favorite of mine in my middle school library. Hard to get the kids interested in her lately... they wanted shorter books, but she was a fantastic writer.
